Paula's Computer Systems: Helping a friend

I have changes the MS Word, and the desktop and the display to help the boy. I have made should make 5 changes.

In this slide I am going to show you who to minimise the ribbon on a computer for someone that has impaired and has problems using the software in its default setup.

By making the screen like this it is helping the child by not show a lot of information so they can’t distract by all the different icon and colours that are on the ribbon. Also by minimising the ribbon it made the screen bigger so that the person can see the text better.

In this slide I am going to show you how to add Font Style to the Quick access tool bar by going to office button clicking on it and then going to word option. When I click on it this screen below should come up.

When this screen come up I have to go and click on customs. In customs this screen should come up.

When this page come up I have to click on front and then click on add and then it will come over to the other side of the page as the arrow show. Then I have to press ok and then it will come on to the toolbar as showing.

In this slide it shows the toolbar as it shows a symbol of a letter A as this symbol stand for front. By standing this up it can help people that has a disable to change the front easier than the way a person which out a disable can. Font Style and Paragraph on the Quick access tool bar is because they would be easily seen and user friendly as the icons Font Style allow him to make the text bigger and bolder so that he would be able to see the text a lot clearer.

In this slide I am showing how to change the background to blue. As the person has to click on page layout and this toolbar will come up. Then the person will have to click on the box were the arrow is point. As the arrow is pointing on page color and when they click on it this box will come down.

When this boxes come down the person click on what colour they what the page background to go. As I had to pick blue this is what it turn out like below.

This shows that the screen is blue as it is easier for person that has a visually impaired to write word off it. It is a code for people that have a visual impairment to help the see better.

In this slide you can see that it is hard to read the writing that is in black as when a person has a visually impaired they can’t see it.

In this screen I am show you how to change the colour of your writing. This is showing by the arrow above. In the screen below it show the white writing and how it shows up the written.

In this screen it was the white write which helps a person with a blue background to see the white written better. Also this is a code for a person with a visual impairment to see what they are writing on the screen.

In this screen I am going to show you who chance the screen to the right size that the person want. They have to go to control panel and this screen will come up.
