Different Types Of Computer Systems


Laptops: A laptop is a computer for mobile use but has a lot of the same components as a desktop computer. The components that are the same would be a keyboard, disk drive, speakers etc. A laptop also can be used at the mains but it also has a rechargeable battery. People use laptops for many different things such as for work, school, home, shopping, socialising and many more things. 
Laptops can be used by many different people for many different things. People who would use this computer system would be students, businesses and could also be used as a home computer to.


Mobile phones: A mobile phone is a device that can make and receive calls. Mobile phones are very popular now a days with teenagers and are used more for messaging and going online for things such as facebook and twitter and also listening to music. A business client would use a mobile phone more for making calls, messaging and also using apps such as the calendar and notes. Some of the main features of a mobile phone now a days would be music player, camera, Bluetooth, wifi etc.

Mobile phones can be used by everyone for many different things like a student or a business company could use a blackberry or an iphone as it has lots of apps that are useful. Older people might just like to use a basic phone just for calling and texting such as a Nokia Samsung etc.
                      

Desktop computers: A desktop computer is a personal computer that is designed to fit conveniently on top of a typical office desk.
A desktop computer typically comes in several units that are connected together during installation.
1.Hard drive
2.Monitor
3.Input devices such as keyboard, mouse, scanner, webcam etc.
Desktop computers are usually seen to be used in the work place or in schools, although a lot of families might use a desktop as their home computer.

Games Consoles: 
A games console is used as a source of entertainment.
The player interacts with the game through a controller, a hand-held device with buttons and joysticks or pads.
Video and sound are received by the gamer though a television.
Examples of consoles include the Microsoft Xbox, Sony PlayStation, Nintendo GameCube, and Nintendo Wii.
Games consoles are used at all ages but mainly children and teenagers are into playing these consoles.
IPod Touch:  An Ipod is a portable music player created by Apple.
An Ipod can be used for many more things than just downloading music. It can be used for taking notes, reminders, games etc.
App world has thousands of different apps you can download and most of them are free! You can download apps for reading, shopping online, news and many more.
IPods are usually seen to be used by teenagers and adults although there are some children that are using them also. Students usually use iPods when studying.
Built in computer systems: There are many household appliances which have built in computer systems such as: washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, television etc.

The appliances which have built in computer systems are the most important appliances in the household.
With the introduction of built in computer systems in household appliances this has made daily life a lot easier for families.

These appliances are usually seen to be used in the household environment but can also be used in many places such as staff work room, nursery/schools etc.
Kindle/Readers:  The Amazon Kindle is a series of e-book readers now in its fifth generation. Amazon Kindle E-readers enable users to shop for, download, browse, and read e-books, newspapers, magazines, blogs, and other digital media via wireless networking.

The Kindle uses a grey screen to display a page of text. To turn the page, you just press a button to go forward or backward.

It also includes a web browser but you are limited to only Amazon or Wikipedia.

The Amazon kindle can be used by everyone but more adults would use them rather than kids.


  Graphic tablets:  A graphics tablet is an input device used by artists which allows one to draw a picture onto a computer screen without having to utilize a mouse or keyboard.A graphics tablet consists of a flat tablet and some sort of drawing device, usually either a pen or stylus.
A graphics tablet may also be referred to as a drawing tablet or drawing pad.
Graphics tablets are used by graphic designers.

Tablets: There are many different makes of tablets the most popular being the Apple Ipad, Samsung, Microsoft, Google etc.
žA lot of business men/women would use internet tablets for taking notes and for storing dates. They would also use facetime for video calling or for conferences.
Students would use tablets for keeping deadline dates in and also taking notes. Students can use the tablets for searching online and sending/receiving e-mails.
Tablets are very popular and are used by almost everyone for many different reasons.



P.D.A (Personal Digital Assistant):
A personal digital assistant (PDA) is a handheld device designed to help people organize their lives while on the move.
While the original PDAs were somewhat limited to storing addresses, phone numbers, calendar appointments, and task lists, modern PDAs often work as a cell phone and fax, provide Internet connectivity, and much more.
žThere are many different types, but almost all models can connect to a computer to sync information and access other optional features.
PDA’s are mainly used by business associates to help them organise their day.
